Bloooooooooody ponies!!

Had a really lovely girl come to try my little NF yesterday. Shes about the same height and build as me so bit of a pony squasher but I think he needs a bigger capable rider at the mo. Just wanted something to hack and bring on in the school so perfect. Pony has been an absolute superstar lately so I was optimistic.

We groom him and tack up, she loves him, all going well, I get on he is good as gold bit hyper but not much more so than normal. I get off, she gets on.......bum barely touches the saddle and he broncs - I am still holding onto him at this point but he kept doing it. She sat really well bless her but the saddle started to slip so she plopped off. Luckily all ok she thought it was quite funny and that he just didnt like her! Suprise suprise she decided not to buy him though ;) I got back on and he was good as gold!! ARRRRGH!!!!

I am trying to think what could possibly have caused it! Nothing that I could see anyway! And if she had poked him with her toe surely he would have bucked as she went up not once she had actually sat down. Sure he knows I'm selling him and doesnt want to go!! Just a bit worried now in case this is something he will repeat! I have put other people on him including complete beginners and he has been fine.

hmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

I dont know what it could have been, but bless the pony, he wants to stay with his mummy :D
I love NF ponies :) the beastling in my sig is a nf :D shes normally a bit of a nutter!!

mine did the same thing (well sort of) when i went to sell him.

He decided he was INCAPABLE of standing still for the girl to get on, even though he was an angel for me before and after, and then proceeded to have a VERY speedy trot for the whole time she was riding.

She coped incredibly well, but damn ponies always know!! lol

She also decided not to buy... lol

bexcy-bee x

hmmmm seems to be a naughty NF trend appearing here!!!!

Nutter :) Here he is the other day being good as gold :)

i think he has lovely paces and he is getting better and better but just is still a touch unpredictable which I dont really want for a kids pony - and id love to sell him on to go and do PC but I guess hes not quite ready for that!!!!

I was in a 'pony club pony' showing class once, and the beastling took off with me (i was only about 11 and she was in a french ling snaffle, i stood no chance!). Came last, but if youve ever been to a pony club rally theres always one naughty pony, so i think we should have done a little better in that class ;) :D

Ha ha ha.... this really made me giggle. Hello :) I am the rodeo girl who 'plopped' off Bailey! Bless him he is a really sweet pony and this shouldn't put anyone off buying him, I think we just weren't meant to be! I have to admit, that has never happened to me before... but it was very funny and actually quite fun! I hope you find a lovely home for him he is very sweet. Take care x:)

oh no!
My NF did this too!!! :P

Might be worth asking a few mates to do 'fake' trials, coming over and having a little poddle to get him more relaxed with new people???

Cheeky monkey -Sounds lovely
