it says the ideal candidate would have experience clipping. I don't, although I have experience with everything else they require.

Is there any point in going for it?

ETA: I've just noticed my appalling spelling mistake in the title - sorry, had a horrible day at work

Absolutely, clipping is not rocket science :D Most of the equine colleges do 1 day clipping courses which you could look into, otherwise just see if anyone is willing to let you use their horse as a guinea pig.

well tbh mine needs done again but he is awful to clip and i have to get the vet out to sedate. I might just do that and ask one of the girls on my yard to show me

Yes - if you are lacking experience in one area only, you may still be the best candidate. I will look at people for jobs where they do not have all the requirements listed because it is almost impossible to find the "ideal" candidate ready and waiting, and and other attributes required are a must not just a want.

that's good to hear. I'm hoping I'll get a lot out of the job - it involves competing at weekends which is what I want to do anyways :)
Hopefully they'll read through my application before tossing it
