Ive currently got a horse i compete in affilated showjumping whihc is going fantastic..! However my friend is willing to seel her ex event to me , he is 15 and is in very poor condition as they're not brilliant with their stable amnagment he has no muscle and is very down in the dumps , i have ridden him a few times and taken him to some shows when he first came to her and came out with 2 1st in unafilliated 3'0 and 3'3 classes , he is a keen worker and is always happy to please , ive seen him xc and hes a machine. He has Be Points up to Novice level. He is still full of life and has another good 10 years in him!!I really am concerding taking him off her hands becuase i just feel so sorry for him as hes such a good lad to everyone i feel he deserves better. Do you think this is the write thing to do? and with a bit od TLC do you think id be able to make money out of him..? They wont about £1500 for him.
What You T hink..? <font color="pink"> </font>
Thanks x

I would say you should go for it, if you can afford another one! As for making money out of him, that is less likely, as he is 15 already - most people, rightly or wrongly, consider any horse in its teens as 'past it', and I think you would have problems trying to sell him as a 16/17yr old. But he sounds like he'd be able to give you a lot of fun!

If you have the time, money and space for him i would go for it, at the price she's asking for him he's quite likely to end up wasted with whoever buys him whereas you can get him back in top condition and out doing things then sell him to someone who will carry on with his jumping, xc etc and he'l be back having fun again!

I would go for it too. You will not be able to sell him in the future for more but I think you will have a good few years with him doing a great job. Lucky you x
