I would like to hear folks opinions from anyone who has tried the new SMART saddle, or even bought one, especially if anyone has previously used the Solution models and "upgraded" to a SMART. Have they noticed a difference in how their horse goes or appears to like it, and what differences do they find as a rider?

Answers on a postcard :D

Spank you very muchly .

A link to the Smart Saddle might have helped. http://www.solutionsaddles.com/sssaddlesmart.html

OK, it's a new Solutions Saddle and it costs mega bucks, so you might find that there isn't a lot of first-hand experience out there. My experience of Solutions saddles has been that they weren't great quality, particularly for the price, but I've been told they got that sorted. It looks like a new concept saddle, so it might be interesting to find out what sort of testing they've done on it. Do they hire them? Because at that price, and a brand new design, I'd be inclined to try before I buy.
And here you are, Better Saddles I know do hire saddles out to try, and they do the Solutions saddle. http://www.bettersaddles.co.uk/acatalog/Treeless_Saddles.html

Ah now I'm moaning. I answered your thread, sent you a cake and everything, and you haven't bothered to read it. I hope that means you're out enjoying your birthday.

I used to ride in a Barefoot for hacking and it was sooooo comfy and my horse was so free. My only problem now is to buy a treeless I like the look of and jump in ie a fpoenix (sp?) I would need to sell my horse so no point really :D
