This is our 7 year old. He is 17.2hh ISH Grandsire King of Diamonds. He has a super nature and is good in all ways. He is bombproof in traffic alone and in company. Very genuine and straight forward at all times and anybodies ride. He is a saint to take to a show.Never stops at anything. He is BE PN and Intro and he is usually good sj and xc , his dressage score needs to improve but thats more a rider prob as he has won lots of pure dressage.
How much do think we should ask for him? He has a clean bill of health:

Are you sure he's 17.2hh - looks much smaller in the pics, perhaps a tall rider?

I would love him if I was looking and would probably expect to pay around £8k, although of course would rather pay £5k! Depends on his record with BE really.

I'd say around £8k, but then I'm bias as I love, love love King of Diamonds horses, especially the chestnut ones! He is gorgeous. Size may put some buyers off but I wouldn't put him up for less than £7k IMO

Although he is tall, he isn't huge to ride and will do everything in a snaffle. He is also a gent to hunt.

Sounds good value at £8k if he is as easy to do as you say (although what do you mean by "usually good sj and cross country"?)

If he has decent conformation and gives a good ride he could be worth far more as a working hunter (difficult to tell from the pics)

He is great xc, he has had the odd sj down but its more of a rider error TBH. He has a 'slight' capped hock so prob wouldn't do well as a county level worker- however he has won lots of local level. He has good conformation and paces. He is 100% in everyway- he is almost too nice and easy for us if that makes sense!

Is that Joss Gray competing him?
Was he having show jumps down with him?
Has he any BSJA winnings? or any winnings at all? double clears?
My boy is 17.2 and the problem when trying to sell them is that they are to big for most riders, my friend owned my boy previously and couldnt sell him, and he doesnt ride big either its just when your stood next to him you feel tiny, well I dont as im 5'11, but I had to save my pennies to buy him, luckily he didnt get sold whilst I saved !
My horse had an appaling BHTA record but had won quite a bit BSJA, was jumping second round newcomers and I paid £5000 for him.

if he's a good hunter he's probably worth at least £12000 the wealthy people who cant ride will pay the earth for a safe hunter but maybe not the best home for him.

if he shows i would ask £8k but a professional yard would get more.

He really is lovely - just the stamp that i will (hopefully) be looking for next year, albeit a bit younger.
I helped to sell a 17.1hh mare last year, and i agree that the height does put some people off, but she was as well mannered as your boy sounds and went to a 15 yr old girl!!

Does he have potential to go much further than intro? If so, maybe 7k. If not...I'd say more like 4-5k personally.

Lovley horse...if i was rich i would buy him and ship him out here

Over here he would be worth a lot of money (well £8000 is $20,000 :O!) as ISH are few and far between and are beggining to become popular in sj and eventing.

I would deffinatly say he is worth £8000 - perhaps more if he has the potential to go higher than PN. His quiet temperment would also raise his price IMHO
