of squirrels in my garden!! Dexter caught and killed one today. He didn't mess around, it was a quick death. I haven't seen hide nor hair of any of the pesky little gits since. :D

Ummm is it wrong that I read this and thought 'yay, go Dexter' :D I hate grey squirrels, nasty little vermin, but I am always wary of letting my lot get near them because they bite back :( Well done Dexter though :D

Yep it was a grey. Sadly we don't have any reds here. CR I was worried about him coming back with a bite or scratch but he grabbed it by the neck and that was that!! :D He then spent a good 20 minutes patrolling for more.
KH, you are so right. All that sitting around trees paid off bug time. Clever boy. :)

We had a fab cat that got rid of the bushy tailed vermin. They would taunt her until one day she climbed up the tree after them!

Mills is in pursuit of The Heron, she has no chance but we don't want to upset her by telling her that!

Whoo, go Dexter!

Danny it itching to get at the 4 grey squirrels that are currently nibbling away at the berries on the ivy on next door's tree. He almost caught one when he was on the long-line in the park the other day but I snagged him back just in time. I've had a terrier get bitten by one of those revolting little vermin before and the tear wasn't pretty (I know D would kill, I just won't want to risk it). So far they dare not come into the garden because of the big fast dog but I just know one day...

Ah well, here's hoping that if he catches one he does it Dexter-style!

I had a dead black squirrel delivered to the the door the other day by my very proud cat - the fact it was a very flat black squirrel rather gave away the fact that she had found it on the road rather than caught it herself! In her defence it was still warm so maybe she was chasing it when a car got it first ;)
