This guy deserves more than a few bites!

Hmm, gave him more exercise to stop him chasing his tail.? How much was he given before?. Big daddy was used a guard dog, without the proper training and care. And they say Pitball yet the dog was underweight at 10 stone? I don't know the breed but as my friend has a very big dobie boy is 7 1/2 stone ....suspect it was not just a Pitbull!
 
Johnson pitbulls weight around 60-80 lbs or around 4 to 6 stones.
They are American bullys rather that the real pitbull and bred to look 'ard. Quite a lot of crosses are bred that look similar.

They are certainly banned in the UK.
 
American bulldogs arent banned in the UK, johnsons "type" included, but any dog deemed to be "of pitbull type" may be seized under the DDA. This could include your average staffy cross or a pedigree american bull depending on the DLO officer involved. If we got a johnsons type ambull at work providing it was papered to prove it was what the owners claimed we would be told its fine to keep and/or rehome.

The pitbull standard calls for a dog of between 30 and 70-ish lbs dependent on height.
 
Are there any in the UK though? I hope we never come across one here, destroying good dogs based on looks is almost unbearable -and its getting worse if anything.
 
I dont know why they do not just ban dogs full stop........... save on a shed load of paper work in the future when folk start breeding other dog types to be more aggressive ect.

Hell banning numpty breeders/owners would be the perfect solution. Eejits :(
 
I once applied to live in an apartment complex in the states that allowed pets. They asked me what breed I have ... I told them MinPins and they told me they were a breed that was on the list of NOT allowed due to aggression! I nearly peed myself laughing!
