Buyer was supposed to arrive at 11am.

it's now 1pm and no word, not even a phone call. Ponio has stood on that yard ready to go for TWO hours. I am fuming, he's stressed and confised, kids went through the whole "goodbye" thing this morning.

Are people just plain STUPID?????

I've put him back out on the field and the kids will now have to go through their goodbyes again. I've a good mind to ring woman's Dc and tell her what she's done

when i was selling my horse, had people coming to look in the evenings. I have stacks of uni work to do atm. If buyer arranged a time, and didnt come within half an hour, or call me, i just turned horse back out. Guess what, none of them ever actually turned up.

Oh that's awful. Bloody woman. Your children must be so upset as it is, without her messing you around like that.

you didnt take a deposit!!!!????

oh Katy.....lets hope she turns up....by my experience, they usually dont.........

I hope she turns up soon. However, being a cynic, you say she wanted your mobile no in case she got lost - had she not been and seen the pony? If she has bought him unseen I think the warning bells would be ringing by now with me, hope I am wrong and that she has arrived by now with loads of apologies!

you didn't agree to buy the other pony though did you????

...the one you wanted transport for.........

[/ QUOTE ] I am loaning her. Luckily the owner is pretty flexible and will hold onto her for me.

This is my first time selling...

did the lady come to see your pony at all? after all they could be dealers etc etc..but are obviously timewasters!

doesnt sound very hopeful! Really really must have a deposit another time....as otherwise you never know that they could be mesing you around.

Oh christ, she hasn't seen the pony but knows where he lives etc etc. Please be vigilant, don't want to worry you but sounds a bit dodgey to me...

first time..ah.......

rules of selling....once you have a buyer, get a deposit, give a receipt, arrange a time for collection, take mobile and landline,....

if no show, contact mobile, leaving a voicemail if no answer, also send a text.. then contact landline, leave a message if ansaphone..asking them to contact you within a reasonable time..ie 24 hrs, or you are keeping deposit and pony back on the market...

this is what i have needed to do in the past.....and its amazing how many folk aren't too bothered about retreiving a deposit!!

Oh crap...

Any chance she could be hopelessly lost?or forgotten her phone? sort of thing I'd do!!

I know..not likely ... I would be fuming too

She is a friend of someone I know, and has gone by their word of his reputation. So it isnt asif I was planning to sell him to a dealer...

Oh well hopefully theres a decent explantion then if she a friend of a friend. Perhaps a little less likely to just not turn up for no reason...

Oh well hopefully it will be ok then. Still a little surprised she wanted to buy unseen, after all what suits one person doesn't necessarily suit another. Still fingers crossed she calls you with a grovelling apology.

Oh, sorry Katie, hadn't realised that from your initial posts. Didn't think for a minute you were planning to sell him to a dealer either!
