I got in from the field last night and proudly showed OH a photo I had taken of ……… my muck heap!

I spent ages tidying it up and making the sides neat and it looks lovely now

OH thought I was mad taking photo’s of my old stable when I had made the bed up exceptionally neatly one day, but he says this time I have tipped over into complete insanity

Please reassure me it’s not just me………….!

Please don't worry! It is a recognised affliction

Unfortunately, the cure has not been found yet, but I imagine there are a fair few people (especially on here!) who suffer with the same thing

I, of course, have tried therapy, but find that coping strategies don't always work!!

daughter tells me to breathe and often passes me a paper bag, if not to breathe through, then at least to put over my head so she doesn't die of embarrassment!!!

Often the best thing is to lie down in a darkened room for half an hour!!!

sad thing is, dinner guests don't appreciate the slide shows, but at least they leave early!!!!! So I can take to the drink and get onto HHO!!!!!!

I so love a tidy muck heap with lovely straight sides a photo is definately a must.

My horses bed has to be perfect too well packed sides and a deep comfy bed.

It is a severe horsey affliction often misunderstood by the masses!

Me too, me too!!! I love a proper square muckheap and spend hours on mine! I once toyed with the idea of putting a webcam and a live feed link to it so everyone could see it grow!

I just thought I was a freak for liking my ponio's bed all neat, level and the front edge straight and fully swept back

I realised I must be a wierdo when my OH did stable duties one weekend as I had to work.. he sent me a picture of ponio's bed taken on his mobile phone to prove he'd done a good job !!

Think I need to go lie down in a darkened room

Oh dear. Don't you lot ever visit my field. Henry's bed is irregular (well, he flattens it anyway) and poo is in various little piles, to allow for rapid rot-down and use as compost.

I do admit to 'fluffing up' his bed, though, even when there are no poos in it (stable is open to field). I don't even make my own bed, so not sure why I bother with his!
