Car troubles, yet again! So, off I trundled to just ride my lad to the barn instead like normally do [I really don't do walking!].

Of course, get there....and forgot I took his headcollar and rope back with me last night :o His field has 2 gates, one at the bottom of the hill where I walk to and than another right at the top of his field, where I take him out of and cut through the fields to the barn for a mile or so. So, ended up leading him up just with a hand on his neck and then luckily, there's always a leadrope wrapped round tying the gate shut. So decided, sod it, just a leadrope round his neck, surely can't be that different to just riding him in a headcollar and leadrope looped.....Decided the worst that could happen is I fall off and get a muddy arse!!!

So, off we went, quite merrily! Dude. Whoever it was writing about summing your ex-racer/TB up....this would be him summed up lol. :)

Rubbish muddy fresh out the field photo, but only one I could get lol! Loooove him. Baby coblet has a lot to aspire to when he's old enough ;)

Haha thankyou! Been meaning to ride him with just a rope for a while now, as been working on him just moving and schooling just from rope pressure on his neck, but normally have the headcollar on too 'just in case' :) :p

Thankyou! My thinking was...it's so muddy out there, it wouldn't hurt much to fall off....and he knows where his field is from anywhere round there, so he'd only find his way back to the gate safely :p I love doing stuff like that with him though, amazing feeling. :D
