I can feel AND count all Buddy's ribs :D:D:D And in certain positions, extreme flexion whilst scratching like a dog I can see some!!!!

Can see his shoulder, no fat pad there and feel his pelvis, he has a muscly line on his bum and lovely neck!!

So pleased, yet absolutely dreading the grass coming back through, atm he is on the winter turnout with zero grass, ab lib hay during the day.
In at night, 1 stuffed net of haylege, a bucket with hi fi in (not always all gone in the morn) and 2 x feeds (breakie and tea) of speedi bit, abit of hi fi and topspec lite.
In a HW rug currently, trace clipped, schooled 2 x a week, hacked twice and maybe abit of hunting/dressage in the month too.

So not really dieting but the whole situation is really working for him, i'm thrilled :o

He is 5 in march so wondering if he is putting abit of effort into growing atm. He feeling lovely and strong on the flat and loves jumping.

Anyway long may the new svelte Budster last :D

Too dark for pics but will try and get some tomo.

Anyway pointless post but no one else gets my joy at my pony looking so well

Ah, wha's the secret, I've not seen/felt my ribs for about 20 years!

Sounds like a fit, happy pony - and even happier owner! Well done (down with grass!!).

I know, grass is my actual nemesis since become a cob owner!!! Would quite happily keep on a barren landscape, with plenty of forage and roaming but no green!!! He is very chilled and happy atm, hence the happy owner :p

Haha have you tried a high fibre diet and plenty of exercise, if all else fails muzzling and only 1.5% of your weight in forage... ;);)
