Riding again!!! Yippeee!!
I broke my ankle 10 Aug and had plate and screws fitted to fix it and have not been on my horse till this week.
Rode in the school for 20 mins Monday and today went out on the road for 30mins! I loved being back on board and can't stop smiling!
My ankle made a few protests but it wasn't unbearable. I suppose I have to start somewhere to stretch the ligaments to riding position. I find because my heel won't drop as far my knee is higher on the right side.
Has anyone had a broken ankle and any tips for when you get back riding again on how to cope with the imbalances between one leg to the other? How long did it take to stretch everything again? Any tips would be great.
