I hope someone call give me some advice please. I have managed to persuade the farmer down the road to make me half size bales of hayledge as I only have 2 horses meaning big bales go off before I have used all of it. The farmer is not horsey and isn't sure how long I need to wait until the hayledge is suitable to feed to horses. I know about the "curing time" for hay but not sure how long to wait before I can use this new hayledge. It was pretty dry when made. I am using Horsehage at the moment which is costig me a fortune so am hoping to get going on the new stuff asap but obviously don't want to start using it until it is right for the horses.Any advice would be appreciated by me and my wallet!
