Agreed, my computer is fairly quick but with this forum I thought that something was seriously wrong. It takes so long to aces things & in the evenings I've given up. I expected the new forum to have some teething troubles but speed was not & should not be one of them. Let's hope this is rectified soon.

I actually find the site really quick, in fact far far quicker than the previous one. Everything loads almost instantly. Are you sure your computer is not running a lot of programmes in teh backgrouns. my OH has a laptop which is the same age as mine (about 4 months old) I run Firefox and he runs IE and his is seriously slow but I think he has lots of programmes which load on start up and update in the background.

Well nothing's changed in my computer & the new forum takes at least twice as long to load threads as the old one did.

I don't have a problem with the speed of the new forum, in fact I think it is quicker someone on another thread said they had downloaded Google Chrome and that fixed the problem, maybe try that?

Ive just read Gorgeous Georges thread lower down or now probably higher up , cant keep up with the way threads are all over the place lol and suggestions on there were to get rid of the sigs, Ive just done that through the User options and its sped up a lot. Im also on Firefox and arent having a problem. Browser issues are mention on GG's thread too. Maybe worth trying

Haha, as long as it's WD40 you're rubbing in!!!

I've tried pretty much everything, nothing else running. I haven't been around very long, so not too used to either forum, but this format really does take ages for me, and it's an effort. Which is not the intended effect I guess.

I do hope it irons itself out, cos otherwise the sites fab. sm x
