But I have had the best weekend ever!

To start off with, it was my birthday Saturday, so the OH took me away for the weekend, lovely and relaxing [=

So, I hadn't seen the little monster for 2 days, and he hasn't cantered since he was turned away in October/November, and he was a little star!!

Im a very happy mummy at the moment. Bearing in mind how fizzy and crazy he used to be, I can't ask for a nicer pony at the moment.

This was his 3rd time schooling at the new yard, and also his first canter on each rein for 4 months.

He calmed down so much towards the end, was going along with his head nearly on the ground, very happy!

So, CC please, but nice [= I know my reins are long, but I'm trying to allow him to work long and low, something I'm not used to, and I also know my feet are everywhere, I usually tuck them up, but I think that may have been what made him a fizzy monkey.

You've said about your reins, but your hands appear to be in your lap as it were, with one hand over flat.

Tipping forward at the shoulders.

Looks like a pony to have a lot of fun on :D

This morning when I rode, I was keeping an eye on all you said there, hands up slightly more, and thumbs on top! (both of them). And I tried my hardest to sit up straight, and guess what, he went like a dream! (Apart from standing on my already broken foot before I got on, little monkey!) So thank you very much for pointing that out for me [=

He is a pony to have fun on, he's awesome!

Anyone else wanna help with my terrible riding :D

I'm pleased for you both, looks like you had fun :)

I would say try and relax through your arm and wrist's too you seemed to be stiff, you already know about your legs so won't mention that area for you lol :)

Sit up relax and enjoy :)
