Just thought i'd have a general nosey and show of hands and see whether anyone's going out to Thoresby on the 22nd (weather being well)? Am going to bite the bullet and take my youngster this time instead of stealing someone elses. :grin:

Have done the last two years there and fully enjoyed it but always done the smaller fences and optional routes but hopefully if my lad starts off well then i might try and do some of the bigger fences. Depends on my nerve Oh and this weather. He's not done much work over the last week either although he was fit before the break so hopefully i'll be on track for the 22nd.

I lied! I've just looked at the thoresby pictures from last year and I didn't hunt it last year, I hadn't got a horse so followed on foot. Hunted it 2007. God i'm thick
Just looking at the pics and randomly selected one as was trying to find myself (like an idiot). If you go to colbeck's website and look at meets 2008 then thoresby, are you photo RF Thors 010308_123 ? by some weird chance? Looks like the horse in your avatar.

Ours were just getting back to fitness when the weather turned, not sure they are fit enough:-(

Well i did go in the end but unfortunately about 20 mins into the second half we lost a front shoe so had to head home. Was quite miffed about this as had just had two stops at a post and rail and really wanted something to jump just so we ended on a good note.
Ah well, it happens and he'd been a good lad until that point, think tiredness and my cak riding caught up with us!
