I'm involved with a grass roots club helping people with ex racehorses to get the most out of them, and we are having a get together on the East Coast in August where we can ride on the beach and share our experiences over a beer in the evenings.....
Stabling/grazing available at a fantastic yard, cross country course and show jumps available too, so plenty to do if you've had enough of sand in your undies!
More details on our facebook page and website, we don't exclude non racers as some of our owners also have them, or they come as travelling companions.
Come and join us, we'll be there from Friday 16th until Monday 18th, stay as long as you like. Camping pitches available, or sleep in your box. And don't be put off if you don't have a tent as we may be able to help with that too!
Spaces need to be limited so it's first come first served. A lot of our members are also here on HHO and you may find you already know them, but we welcome anyone and will promise to make you feel at home. Any level of ability can join us, no mad races along the beach unless it is completely what you want!
And there's plenty in the area if the family wants to come too, B&B available locally, and there will be a camera on every corner to record the fun...... ;)

I can't believe you haven't had any replies yet - it sounds like brilliant fun!

I'd love to join you, but I'm not convinced that I'll be able to fool you that my little cob is in fact a TB ex-racer... ;-)

It sounds AMAZING!

Mine is off work atm unfortunately, but if you hold another one next year I will so be there :D

I'm taking two but more than happy to share if anyone wants to come along and join us, and perhaps have a play in the school and see if you fancy a trot in the sea?
Non tb's are welcome, we have one that is a regular visitor to LARC outings! Trips to the beach can be in very small groups or with just a couple of walkers to help with confidence, as long as every one gets a paddle we will be happy :o)

I'm so jealous!!! Always dreamt of riding on the beach. And you can't beat a thoroughbred for a good blast :D (mine stops pretty well so bring on the gallopy sandy fun!)

Sounds great fun - don't think I could persuade my Mum/chauffeur to take me from Edinburgh to Lincoln though :( Downside of living in Scotland - everything good is so damn far away!!
