Suspected thoroughpin on my big boy. Any suggestions anyone?

I know he doesn't have the best hocks in the world anyway!!

hi my hunter has one,he had it when we bought him,we had im vetted and it was not an issue, the vet said it was more of a blemish than anything, last season he hunted 1-2 times a week and it has never caused a problem.have to say my boys is on the outside of the hock not the inside, has a vet seen it?

My youngster also developed a thoroughpin a few months ago. His is on the outside of the hock, and after thorough checking the vets said it would most likely never bother him. I gather it could have posed a problem if it had compromised any of the tendons/ligaments at all.

Is it squishy and can be moved easily?

My Youngster has a massive one, both inside and out from galloping around the field. Its squishy and has reduced in size a bit.

Vet said not to worry, as treat like windgalls
