Hi All,

on a bit of a whim I've just bought one of these on ebay (to try out before buying a decent dressage saddle).

Anybody got any particularly strong feelings either way on these?

(I'm not even entirely sure what it looks like!!!)

I also just bought one off ebay on the whim (wasn't even my horses size but was mega cheap) it fitted fantastically is really light and my horse goes well in it.

It doesn't look the smartest but really who cares so far I'm quite impressed with it, although I do want to replace the girth straps with leather ones.

awesome I to have a tb so fingers crossed!!

define 'mega- cheap' (mine was £75 and has only been used a handful of times?? good deal/ bad deal??)

ALSO- what materials are they made off the leather look stuff like wintec or shiny plastic? what are the seat and knee rolls made of?

I bought one ten years ago for my oddly shaped mare as it was the only thing that fitted. I used it all the time, hacking and schooling and still do. It had the suede effect knee rolls and these do look quite worn but the rest is fine although I think it's more grey than black to be honest.

Certainly doesn't owe me a penny, it's comfy for us both and is still going after ten years!

I dont really like them.
I have a T4 GP that ive had for 3 years and thats ok-ish, i tried the one you have yesterday with the saddler and didnt find it very comfortable.

BUT not everyone is the same and they are very easy to fit to most horses because of the gullet and fish systems. Hope you get on with it. £75 is a good price they are about £400 new i think

well saddle has arrived and its even better than anticipated!

Its brand new (not a mark on it and the girth straps have never been used).

Brilliant ebay gamble I feel

Nice one! Didn't spot this the first time round but I have a secondhand Griffin dressage as my first saddle... was ridiculously cheap but fits horseface very nicely and I find it quite comfortable, certainly as if not more comfortable than other DR saddles I tried up to 3 or 4 times the price :)

I like how light it is, and I also think the movable blocks are great! :D

Fab news! Mine was also £75 and in fab condition these saddles are so under-rated! :)

Agree with how light they are my instructor thinks they are as close to bareback you can get in a saddle.
