Which of these have people found to be the better saddle?

How do they differ from the new models in terms of width particulary of the panels or are they basically just an older model of the new T4?

I've spotted one of each in the correct size and having spoken to the shop I can order both of them and return the one that is not suitable but wanted to get thoughts on which is the better saddle?

Are you sure the Griffin model is the cob model? as they have stopped making the Griffin Cob saddle and the maxam cob went onto doing the T6 cob (leather look) but some saddlers still probably have them in stock.

The Griffin cob saddle looks better qualtiy, suade look knee rolls and seat but the maxam is made with cheaper materials but...they will both fit the same (if in the same size/fitting).

Have just checked my order again and no it's not he cob - I am such a muppet sometimes!

I'm trying to change the order to arrange for them to send out the T4 cob with fish (but not changeable gullet) instead - see what happens when I get over excited!!

The griffin and the maxam (the older versions, before all the new confusing T4's and 3-D's and all that stuff came out) both have really narrow panels at the back. The different between the griffin and maxam in terms of design is just the material they're made off, the maxam being much cheaper. The 'selecta' just means you can change the flaps - the panels and tree are exactly the same (with a standard GP seat)
