thorowgood gullets question

i have a t6 and saddler recently came out and fitted with xw gullet. its a round cantle so r bar. also gave me next half size up as would be needing it soon. changed the gullet myself and i swear i copied it as the original gullet lay in it but horse really wasnt happy and saddle looked a bit odd, bit bulky on the knee roll bit. so, took a look and according to the demo pics i have fitted the bar the wrong way round?

but if i fit it as the demo/pics it just doesnt fit in that easily. the saddle seems to have a natural curve to it and the bar if fitted as the demo seems to go against it.

i could have sworn i fitted it same way as the original one but not sure now. does it matter which way it goes in??? i cant see that it does?

the instructions say fit the gullet with the alignmant stamp facing the pommel- i cant see any stamps on any gullet...

i'm really confused

I thought the round cantle saddles didn't go wider than xw? Thought you needed a cob saddle for the wider fits.

Interesting. Thank you. Looking on the website the r bars do a yellow gullet which is wider but maybe my t6 shouldn't go that wide
