thorowgood saddles. How can I tell which one it is?

I'm in the process of selling my old saddles to fund a new one.
Both are thorowgoods but they came with my mare when she arrived and they were just labelled generic GP and generic dressage. Helpful!
One is a leather dressage and one is a synthetic gp. Are they marked anywhere that would tell me for example a T8 or could they just be a "dressage saddle"

I'm not a saddle expert at all. I'm rubbish at identifying different saddles. I just know mine no longer fit and I like them to fit her and keep me in it!

I apologise for my ignorance.

I've looked on the website and it wasn't overly clear. Mine could be a couple of different types. Will bring them home and compare properly. I'll have a look at serial numbers though. Hadn't thought of that.
Still recovering from the cost of a new saddle 😮😮

The T8 is a mix of synthetic and leather. The T4 and T6 (discontinued for a while) are both just synthetic, although I think one has a mix of faux suede and faux leather.

The T4 and T8 have changeable gullets, there were some which I think were called Griffin, which are not changeable.

Were they purchased new? If so, is there any chance you have a receipt which describes them? Although if you are like me you will be able to find every receipt known to man except the one/s that I am searching for!!!

Thanks for the all the information guys. Will bring them home and study them later on. Good to know of the differences. It's amazing that now I need to know what they are I've completely forgotten what they look like!
They weren't purchased new by me unfortunately. They came with my little mare but I am in touch with her previous owner so she may know what they are.

They will have a serial number on a little tag somewhere. Get it and call Thorowgood and they will tell you exactly which one it is. I've done it loads of times and they are really helpful :)

T4 had suede feel knee rolls and seat.
T6 was "leather look" all over
T8 as above mix of real leather (seat flaps knee rolls) and synthetic non visible parts.
There are older Thorowgood saddles aswell though!

Oooo heck. Thanks for all the help. Off to do late evening checks on the expensive hooligans and will bring them home and have a look. It's a good job I love her. :)

My bank balance does not.

If you find the serial number you can call or email thorowgood and they will tell you model, size and year it was made!
