Thinking of buying my TB one, heard quite good reviews about them and in the past 6 months he's had 3 (yes, 3!) saddles due to him changing shape/muscling up etc and his 3rd one is rendered useless as he's lost quite a bit of condition and despite padding him up with a back riser pad it isn't doing the trick so I'm considering a Thorowgood. Seen a lovely high wither T6 for him.

Reviews would be brilliant :D
 
Yes they do, Im only on my fourth as my first was a maxam there fore not changable but horse had it for 5/6 years :) Then I got a T6 cob version for him love it fits me and him :D

Then I got my TBxWB mare and she was rather thin when I got ther so wanted a saddle I could change to fit, so She got a T6 standard and we jigged it between summer and winter after she got her winter holidays :) That saddle was sold when she went to her new home :)

I now have a T8 cob version for the wee coblet I ride and she is only 5 so will change shape drastically and being native I wanted a saddle I cuod trust to fit a coblet and that could be changed to fit her so got a T8 cob GP and again fits both her and me and if she goes up or out again I can have saddler change it :)

I think they are a very versatile saddle, some people hate the GP version but I have been able to do everything in it so never personally had an issue :)
 
I have high wither t4s for my tbs. I really like them. Different shape horses but the saddles fit them both well and i find them very comfy.
 
Our 5 year old is in one, at least till he stops changing. I must say I think it is ever so uncomfortable to ride in :( but then I am used To a lovely quality leather one for my welshie. But then again it fits him just fine ;)
 
My thorowgood saddle was the only one to fit my tb. It's the high wither T4 but I have to use a prolite pad at the mo while he's changing shape, just to keep it off his spine. It is so so comfy! I was using an old leather one for a few weeks (felt like i was sat on a rock ) but the thorowgood makes me feel really secure, feels like i'm glued in and fits perfectly!
 
I got a thorowgood for my tb and never took to it at all. It was fitted by a saddler but it always felt like it tipped me forward when riding for some reason. When my horse went down to a pro for schooling, he used a different saddle on it as he hated the thorowgood! I just don't like the feel of it, even though it's comfier than some other saddles.

Got the gullet changed so it fitted my ISH and still had the tipping forward feel. Got an albion instead for him and 100% prefer it, tipping forward feel gone immediately!

Saying that though i would definitely rate the thorowgood for the price it is and it's stood up well to wear and tear over the years
 
I have Thorowgood GP and Dressage for my boy and looking to get the jumping saddle after Xmas too - saddler comes out every 6 months or so for a check and adjusts accorrdingly cause he changes shape so much. Went through about 6 saddles before buying the Thorowgood
 
Rode a frineds TB in one the other day, was very comfy as it has memory foam seat although it was a bit big for me I didnt feel like I was swimming like I do in some saddles (I'm vertically challenged ;)). He has the T6 high wither one but have also ridden in the pony club one which is comfy.
 
I have a T4 for my WB x TB and I love it, he is quite short-backed and it suits him very well. He is very sensitive due to a less well-fitting saddle previously so I use a KM elite sheepskin saddlecloth underneath and he seems very confortable. He is six now and still changing shape so I will keep it until I'm certain that he has stopped growing, then I might invest in a more expensive leather dressage saddle, and keep the T4 for hacking etc. A few people at the yard have the T4 dressage saddle and recommend it as well.
