Thorowgood T6 6 way stirrups?

Anyone have these and have any thoughts on how they compare to the cheaper or more expensive brands?

I was going to buy a cheaper pair of flex stirrups for about £25 but I can get the Thorowgood ones for less than £50 and I wondered if it was worth spending the extra pennies!

Also, what size of stirrup does everyone take - I got both my sets with my saddle but got pulled up by the tack steward at XC as apparently my stubbens don't have the required 1 fingers width between my foot and the bar.

I love mine! I prefer them to Sprengers as they are a bit firmer, I went off the Sprengers when a tall youngster moved as I was mounting & the Sprenger bent so much that I couldn't get myself on! My T6s have never done this despite some rather inelegent scrabbles as my big lad moves off.

They are good stirrups and worth the money. They have stopped making them now, so if you can find some, go for it!

I didn't know they'd stopped making them! I'll be sure to look after mine, no lending them to people any more.
