Hi

I have got a Thorowgood cob dressage saddle for my round cob. I have been having a few problems with it slipping to the right. I know it has moveable girthing straps but I'm not sure which position I should be girthing the saddle to help stop the slipping.....anyone got any ideas? Also can anyone suggest a good girth as I am using a wintec one at the moment but not sure if this is part of the problem as well.

Thanks in advance :)

Always to the right? In which case it's a asymmatry problem, not a girthing problem.

Most likely is the horse is asymmetrical, and you sit squint (vast majority of riders do). Get your saddler out to have a look and pad the saddle up as required: a foam insert on the top of the righthand rear panel usually does the trick.
