Those in the North East - horse/motorbike incident Look North tonight

A friend from the yard had a nasty "accident" on Sunday when she was chased whilst out hacking by some w****r on a Harley Davison. After revving engine which caused horse to set off he chased her down the road for some distance revving his engine loudly. Horse bolted back to yard, slipped whilst coming in and fell on top of friend who thankfully is just bruised. Police are involved and friend is appearing on Look North our local news programme tonight.

In my experience motorbike riders are usually very considerate, perhaps because they are vulnerable road users like us, but hoping they catch this moron.

I am speechless, don't think any swear words would cover what I currently think of that biker. You think you've heard it all about idiots like this on the road and then someone just tops it. Thank god she wasn't badly injured. I hope your friend and horse recover their nerve after something like that.

It's fair to say both friend and horse extremely shaken, think it will be a long while before they brave the roads again.

That is horrendous! What an idiot!!

We are having problems with off road bikers and quads in our woodland. Not long before a serious accident is caused. My horse has already bolted when a moron on a quad came flying towards him! The police have now put up signs in the woods telling them they will confiscate their bikes, not sure that will do the trick though.

I hope this poor rider and horse recover from this incident.

I didn't see look north but I've heard it wasn't the first time this 'motorcyclist' has chased a horse rider.

I used to ride through dinnington and had a nightmare with bikers!! no words to describe this man apart from t***ser!! hope the pair of them are ok..
