How many days does your loaner have the horse, and on those days are they responsible for full care (if on DIY) - as in turn out, muck out, bring in again.

And, how much do they pay per week?
Do the contribute to shoes on top of that?

Any other words of advice before I go down this route? :D

I part share oth my horses with people. One young girl has sole use of big lad unless I take the carriage out and in this weather it stays in its shed!!!! She does all his care ect, she is very good, in fact don't think I would cope without her.
Other horse is older, and a mother and daughter use her week end mornings and my son rides her afternoons, but he is a fair weather rider so our needs rarely clash, I do most of older mares care, sharer grooms and rides and hays and water two mornings a week and weekdays on half terms ect.
It works for me.

I have a sharer who rides twice a week, one of those days she does him full DIY (I turn out) and the other she helps me out then takes him off for a ride whilst I fath about with my other boy.

She's helping me out as I can't get them both in on said day, and gives me more time with the old chap so I dont charge her. She spoils him with enough stuff and coughs up for her lessons on him so thats me happy!

I share a horse. I go down 4 days a week at 1 end of tgw day. During the week I go in the evenings and on the weekend I tend to go in the morning. When I'm there I muck out, water, hay, feed, ride and bring in/turn out depending on the time of day. The owner then does the other end of the day.

I pay £125 a month and buy things like pony nuts for her treatball and other treats.

Make sure you have a contract in place so both the sharer and yourself know where you stand. It can work really well and I have been sharing my girl for almost 3 years!
