Do you pay a fixed price weekly/monthly or does your YO present you with a bill at the end of a month with all the extras you've had?

Also, is your bedding, feed and hay included?

When I was on that type of livery, the stable rent was paid by dd monthly.
Weekly, the YO would give us a bill for haylage and bedding used, we provided our own hard feed.

We have hay and straw included buy our own hard feed and a fixed price however much help you get. I do know this is the exception rather than the rule other yards I have been on charged per service ie 50p to put haynet up £1 to turnout etc

Fixed fee. Bedding/hay bought from yard and billed monthly, buy our own feed. Very very very lucky in that fixed fee includes any turnout/bring in, rug changes, haynets/feed in whenever you're not there. Ponies all looked after as if they're YO's own. It's a very small yard where, when each of us IS about, we help with everyone's ponies so it all balances out. And for example YO is out overnight tonight so I'll go up and put them all to bed since she does so much for my lad.

Fixed weekly cost with hay/shavings and additional items added to the monthly bill.

At my previous yard it included Mon to Friday turn out but not weekend so you had to pay extra if you wanted your horse brought in during the week.

Also included rug changes/feeding/putting hay nets in etc.

Thanks for your replies!
I pay monthly.. well only just received my second bill since september..YO is very unorganised!
DIY weekly price is fixed then extra bedding, hay, feed, t/o etc is added but I'm not sure if what I'm being charged for has actually been done!
Will speak to YO about a fixed price for everything included tomorrow :)

Pay weekly amount for stable and hay/haylage by dd - any extras for turnout, feed if away, muck out etc by a bill at the end of each month to pay within 7 days. Seems to work well :)

We pay monthly DD for stable and field, then extras like hay and bits and pieces of livery (turnout, fetch in etc) is billed at the end of the month

At a yard I was on we paid stable & grazing bill to YO, we provided hay & feed at our own expense. There was a groom at the yard who would provide any other service you wanted i.e. muck out, turnout, bring in, rug changes, boots off, feeding, clipping etc etc & we would pay her at the end of each week.

Can I ask how much people pay for binging in/turning out, rug change, making up and giving feeds, poo picking the field, mucking out inculding doing water and filling haynet.

Thanks, I think I'm fairly cheap at £130 a month for stable/grazing, bringing in and turning out most days incuding weekends ( plus I poo pick during week and fill water in the field ) Do you get charged different for weekends/bank holidays? thanks

That is extremely cheap, our monthly charge does include hay and straw which is great but no services or use of indoor school which are paid separately.

We pay at the end of each week (I always pay cash). It's £40 for stable, field, straw, 1 haynet a day & unlimited use of the arena.

Any extras such as fetching in, change of rugs or extra hay is just added on top at the end of the week when she just tells us how much extra it is xx
