The flaps are not at all impeding the horse's shoulder as they are not fixed, hence why this is perfect for P!
 
Gosh if I start I won't stop. The weight baring area is as big as a Western Saddle. They are flocked with Flair so very comfortable for the horse. The flaps, head, in fact most bits can be changed (I have dressage flaps AND these flaps). The tree moves independantly from one side to the other, so horses move much more freely. There is nothing pinning the shoulder. There are MANY different variations of seat you can have to suit you (I have a flat seat) and lots of different flaps.
 
Thanks for that Weezy - I've got a bit attatched to my mums albion - how much was yours if you don't mind me asking and do they do them in regular leather?
 
Yes absolutely they do them in regular leather - you can use different leathers to make your saddle 2 tone if you so desire!

I bought the saddle, 2 sets of flaps, 2 sets of leathers and a WOW leather girth (prob my fave bit!) and it cost me just over £2k. BUT you have to remember that I will NEVER need another saddle - this will fit any horse I ever own with minimum outlay (new headplates are only £20).

and my friend francis who admittedly is sponsored by them, swears by these saddles and was quite annoyed with my rider when she bought an albion instead recently!

She has a HUGE shoulder which was hidden before.
Hopefully now you will feel more secure and P will be jumping even bigger

How tall are you? Do you have long legs!!! I know it sounds a funny question but im umming and aahin about whether to go for the new cc flaps or jumping flaps. The old cc flaps were too forward cut for my short legs!! Did you try both?

The jumping flaps were very comfy for me. But I tried them last year before the new ones came out!!

How much were the extra flaps?

Ah, I am tall 5ft10 and a bit hence why I chose these flaps as I can really shorten my stirrups - in the normal jumping one I still had the old "knee over the front" problem. However with the fact you can have the flaps in forward or back position and the 2 stirrup bars, I cannot see how you wouldn't get it to fit you, even with short legs

actually just looked at the others in the pic gallery and it is the same:P the front knee block just looked more padded in that pic.

im still debating whether i should have gone for those flaps instead of the fixed jumping ones .....oh well :S
 
There was an 18 month one with jumping flaps on ebay for sale the other day - starting bid was £900 and it didn't sell, I think I might still be watching it
 
Thanks, I must admit I had decided against the original cc flaps because my legs were too short! Ho! Hum!!

I just wish Wow would stop inventing new things to buy!!!!

Yes it is the same, I think they look different depending on the material used too. My seat is 17.5inch and flat - that is what I usually use size wise so stuck to it - did sit on an 18inch and it didn't feel right
