Have you brought your horse in yet or are they still out 24/7??

Mine are still out and having looked at the weather forecast, will be for the forseeable future.

What say you??

G is still out, but the rest are in. I am sort of hiding him, i think my dad's forgotten he's still out, I want him to stay out until he's sold because I don't want him to be used to being in if his new mummy or daddy wants him to live out 24/7.

Two out, one in, coloured only in because he is hunting twice a week and needed to be clipped, other two will be coming in soon as the weather turns.

Out and staying there, it is trying quite hard to snow at the moment.
This was Fergus and Isabella cuddling up today and completely forsaking their shelter.

Marius is out still, with just one other in his field out of, erm, seven or eight. The others from his field are in at night.
Our other field are mostly out as well. Last year we had to bring in at night from when the clocks changed in October, but this year we are able to leave out. Much better, IMO

because its so dry we are being allowed to leave ours out until the weather turns

normally we have to bring them in when the clocks go back but as we have so much grass we are allowed to stay out.

theres only skye and another mare staying out though as everyone (out of a field of 8 horses) have brought theirs in

Both mine are out, both fully clipped and both rugged from ear to tail

Most of my yard are still out and they usually leave them until the horses decide themselves that they want to come in. Often one or 2 will be found lurking by the gate in the mornings once the coldness starts to set in....as of yet they are as far away as possible

Just started the winter regime today, more to protect the summer grazing than weather related, though I think the weather is due to turn wintry soon. Mine are in at night, out during the day so not too bad. If the rescued mare can't cope with that, she'll join the "night shift" who are in during the day and out at night...would give her a much shorter time stabled. But my veteran likes his cozy winter nights in!

One of mine comes in at night in the winter, the other is out 24/7 all year. In one who comes in is still out and I only put his rug on at night this week. My other hasn't even got her rug on yet, she's like a woolly mammoth now!

He has been in at night for a few weeks now but that is because he was starting to put too much weight on and I don't want him getting lami.

Yep still out, it's great not mucking out in the morningd, okay i still have to poo pick, but that's not half as bad and takes little time. Paddocks still dry not a muddy mess yet either, so I will keep her out for as long as poss.

yes mine all still out making the most of there summer field as still enough grazing soon as weather changes they come across to other field i will bring them in then

Song is still in 24/7 on box rest (week 9 now

!) So the other 3 are all taking shifts and being in with him for company!!
Because Song is such a pansy he gets stressed if he cant see the rest of 'his' herd so we are unable to use our other field that is still full of grass

so having to feed hay in the field just to keep him happy.
But normally the TBs would only be in at night and the Pony and Mare would still be out 24/7.

QR - mine would normally all still be out but new mare is on box rest so she's in and my bigger cob is in to keep her company, I'll be clipping him later today I think, might as well now he's in. Little cob is out with AA mare 24/7 and they will spend the winter out unless we have exceptionally hard weather. He's got his woollies and a lightweight to keep the wind off, she doesn't grow much coat so she's in a medium.

All mine are still out, clipped out and rugged well and very happy, to be honest everything is out at our yard apart from one livery. We all thought we would make the most of the good weather as winter can be a long job and the horses are all really happy, nothing has started to wait at the gate yet......

Bane is in now - he started waiting at the gate when we went through a cold spell - I think he was telling me he had enough of the cold!! He prefers being out but drops weight easily in the winter so I bring him in to keep him warm.

Our yard is still on 24/7 turnout but we are worming on the 16th and I think we will go on winter turnout then

Duke is fully clipped (not legs) and out at night also rugged head to toe

but comes in for a few hours in the day for feed, a sleep and some hay. He is always at the furthest end of the field in the mornings so must be happy.
