...do you plait, wash mane and tail etc the night before, then turn out overnight as usual??
There isn't a spare stable for TB to stay in over night tonight, so i'm planning on just plaiting up etc, hopefully bunging neck cover and rug on, then turning out and praying he doesn't roll too enthusiastically

I don't really have time tomorrow morning (fairly early dressage) and anyway don't fancy having to wash tail etc in the cold at 7am...arg!
So will it be ok to leave him out with plaits in, and hope they are fairly respectable, or is that wishful thinking?

Mine is at home for a few weeks where I only have a field shelter, not a stable. So I washed yesterday afternoon, put a turn out rug on and she is still clean this morning. I just have to wash legs, brush out tail and plait. (don't start til 2pm, in case you are wondering why so relaxed and on here!)

That's exactly what I do, wash and plait the night before and then stick her in a fly rug over night and give her a quick brush and hose down the legs on the morning
