Terribly sad news for you all. My wonderful, handsome boy has been getting progressively lamer over almost the last year. After the last vet visit it was decided that there is no more that we can do for him and I am going to have to say goodbye. I wanted those of you who remember him to know because I feel like the story of his life with me started here, you heard about him before I'd even gone to view him, so it needs to be here at the end too.
I love that horse with all my heart and if I could do anything at all for him I would. He has given me so much and we have shared so much together- from when he came to me all scruffy and green to how he was last year- looking fabulous and out doing show hunter.
I have to say goodbye for the final time on Thursday and I'm still not sure how I will cope.
Here are some pics of him from last week- he is in fantastic condition and not to see him move you would think I've gone insane. It is only when you see him hobble about that you know. I will not let my darling boy fade away and wither with pain, the last gift I can give him is his dignity and an escape from constant pain.
