Those who share horses - how far do you travel?

I'm struggling to find a horse to ride as the ones I've seen that are available for share are at least a 30 minute drive (45+ mins in rush hour). I also have my youngster on DIY so I would need to bring him in and sort him out in the evening before travelling to another yard and can't juggle doing two horses in a day on separate yards. I'm contemplating just sticking with lessons, but at £36 for a private half an hour lesson, I don't feel I'll be getting much out of my riding when I could be paying the same amount to share and ride three days a week.

Just wondered if I was being unrealistic with the travel to share a horse.
 
I think it depends on what facilties the yard offers, what the hacking is like and how much I liked the horse. I'd travel further for the above, especially the hacking. I've got my own horse, rather than sharing, but I've just moved him from a yard 10mins from home to one 30mins from home because it gives me an indoor school, a lovely yard and fantastic hacking.

Whereabouts are you in Kent? Have you thought about a different school as £36 for half an hour is at the upper end of prices round my area of Kent?
 
I'm near East Malling. Horse is based near Brands Hatch so it would mean hopping on the M20 during rush hour to get there and ride. It's a 25 mile round trip so I'm also conscious of fuel!
 
When I used to share (it was in Kent actually) it was a 30 min car journey or an hour on the bus. Eventually I had to give him up as I just didn't have the time to juggle all that travelling and my schoolwork.
