Pets @ Home are selling a new flea product called "Beaphar Small Dog & Puppy Flea Treatment". It contains Pyrethrin so is relatively effective...however word of mouth reports from vets in the Uk are seeing small dogs all with neuro toxicity signs from this treatment. Wether they were all overdosed or by how much I do not know.

Please be careful using this treatment on small dogs and stick very closely to the doses recommended..or better yet chose a safer flea treatment!

No idea what/if P@H have commented or if owners and vets have made them aware of the issues...I would imagine that they have as most reactions are reported to the manufacturers as a matter of course..

But as it may be just an overdosing issue with these small dogs so I am basically trying to remind people to watching the dose on the small critters, as much as raise awareness to take care with the product.
Many of the over the counter products are low in active ingredients so relatively safe to give large doses to all dogs but this one has already been noted as an issue causer.. so reckoned I would just raise awareness on here.
