If there are any that is?:D what system are you using or can you recommend and are you monitoring via your phone or internet?
Im looking for systems with this set up. Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

Thankyou

Friend had CCTV in the stables, hooked up to a small TV monitor via the arial.

Sorry that may not be any help at all - but it's probably a more reliable system than via broadband.

So was she viewing it from home? is that a stupid question:o:D

Yes - it was brilliant actually, because she'd take the monitor in to which ever room she was in and plug it in to arial. So, kitchen, sitting room, bedroom....

Really great for monitoring broodmares and made the sitting up period up to the birth so much easier.

I had this when we has brood mares cameras in stables monitors in kitchen and bedroom it was great could see them start foaling without disturbing them and it was great being able to leave them to get the suckling sorted but watch it happening.
I had it taken out we have no mares now and frankly my OH has had enough of horses by nightfall so no temptation to watch them at night .
I have it boxed up in the attic just in case ! I know I promised no more mares but....

Not much use to you but we have a company called Aztec that sorts ours out, mine is direct by cable into my flat but there is an internet hub so my boss can view it at his home via the interweb.

Just like at those posh nurseries so he can check on the ponys when away ? Cool.

can you let me know the details as well :)

I've pm'd you with the details of one of my suppliers who sells loads of these systems, just set the cameras up and they have remote control movement, night vision and you can view them anywhere in the UK via your mobile phone, Oz :)

It means he can also check what we are upto while he is out and about via his smart phone which is not so good but I do know all the spots that the camera cannot see.

Yes that's definatly the down side good job its not in our house so the other half can see me talking to friends drinking Chardonnay and how much time I spend on HHO when he's out earning money and I am at home.

In terms of security always have a back up system.

We had locks, gates, house with people, very low 'visibility' from road and CCTV.

The buggers knocked out the power (cctv gone), climbed over 3 fences and a hedge and drilled out 2 doors.... on Xmas Eve.
For one knackered event saddle and 1 western saddle.

Never been so angry in all my life!!!

CCTV can be a very very useful tool - I hope it helps you

I would love CCTV but there is no power in the field. So is this possible ie is there a camera with a battery??? I would love to spy on my horse. One of my friends has it at home and it has night vision which is so clear in pitch black!

Any idea for no power supply in field then??

Was just wondering re the no power supply thing as I have none in my stable but would love to keep an eye on my horse from home approx 2 miles away

Ours runs wirelessly from arial on yard to the house and then is running a live feed with sound, to a monitor which also records 7 days at a time.

We had a couple of attempts as systems promised but failed to deliver!!!!
This one was pricey but it's excellent, added to which the LEDS are brilliant so requires no additional lighting. Picture is very clear as is soUnd.
