Whats the purpose of the extra strap with the headcollar? Got mine of ebay so no instructions, tried looking at pics but it just seems to be behind the ears - whats the purpose of it?

I feel I may now have the obvious pointed out to me

I got mine off ebay and wondered the same thing! I assume it's just extra security to stop them hooking it off over the ears...but I'd love to hear if it has another purpose.

Its a sort of throat lash I believe, I dont use mine.

I just chucked mine could not see what to do with it, and has made no difference to the use of the muzzle.

I just chucked mine out its suppose to be just a bit of extra security i think but biy of a waste of time

There is a strap that comes between the ears over the forlock and attaches at the top of the muzzle. I assume this is to stop them rolling the muzzle off under the chin

My mare has worn the greenguard grazing muzzle with halter for the last 3 years, I have never used the extra strap & the muzzle has been fine without it.
