Weird question!

but i've always wondered whether my lab's ears are normal. They have a kind of slit/flap on the inside of the main flappy-ear-bit

(if you know what i mean?!?), not actually IN the ear canal, just on the 'hanging down' ear. Why is this? Do all labs have it?

i used to think my lab kept crumbs in there for when he got hungry.. i was 4 but LOL...

Barney had one, on the edge of his ear flaps. I used to love stroking his ears, they were so soft

Otto and all our Spaniels have them, it's not just labs

I think they are probably just an evolutionary thing - all of ours have them to!

- there is no way I'm going near St Sweeps ears until he has had his spring clean and trim

- but I do know he has them.

I would say that they are just folds in the ear, just like we have.
Like some people have teeny weeny earlobes and some have big dangly droppy ones!

agere that its probably just like ours, just random etc. but i will stick with the idea its for late night snacks etc.

My JRT has them, last year she cut one, and the vet actually told me what they were called, but I have forgotten! Argh!
