Have you ever clipped a super hairy hoss with a coarse coat? Did they manage it alright?
Im just curious as i fancy a pair of these clippers but i have a mammoth shetland to clip and im worried they wont manage

I dont think they will manage. They were slowing going through a horse at work the other day who was on his third clip so not overly hairy!

I love my lil pair of liveryman harmony but they do struggle thru my lads thick coat and feathers. They get there in the end. Can't complain as they are quite quiet and got him used to being clipped. I use them mainly for ears and face now and have Lister star for feathers and main body.

Mine got through my seriously hairy D last week doing a blanket clip. Left no lines. Struggled in places where there was dirt but fluff depth didn't bother them lol.

They will only do my cob if he has a good bath first!

His neck was a bit greasy today & they wouldn't budge through it at all! In fact the smaller blades usually work better than the bigger pair.

thanks for all the replies :) i think ill give them a miss, ill look in to getting some that can cope with the mini mammoth :D

Mine are fine on a wooly WB, a not so wooly WB and a mammothy Welsh D ... Until I managed to drop the blades, which now need replacing. :-(
