Oh god Saffe almost killed me last night! She was out with the girls in the far back field.

To get her in i had to walk her through the boys field, the 3 boys decided to harass her so tried to get through the gate quickly but next thing i knew i was surrounded by flying hooves, mainly hers and Blues and i had to let go of her as i had nowhere to go and was just stuck in the middle.

Cue her haring round the field followed by Blue.

Managed to get her back (new leadrope - not so new looking now!) and ran back to the gate shouting at the boys, got through, got to the next gate and stood wondering the best way to get through the field with the babies and W and she kept pulling away from me as i was stood there but managed to keep hold of her until she just charged off, by this point i was totally covered in mud all over my face, down my jumper, over jumper and clumps on my jods!

She was charging round with leadrope round her legs! Got her again and put it through her mouth and finally got back to the yard.

Put her back out in a different field - there is NO WAY i am doing all that again!

My first yard had connecting fields and to get Daisy in I had to walk her through three fields of geldings.

Never again is my opinion, its just an accident waiting to happen, for all of the times that she did it calmly there were one or two when for whatever reason it was a bit dicey. I would always make corridors out of electric fencing rather than have to walk through other fields now
