Thoughts on condition/shape.....

Sorry this is just a snapshot taken on my phone today, but I know what I think and would be interested to hear what others think about his condition and shape at the moment?

ETA - a mixed day at Offchurch Bury unaff ODE - appalling dressage, great SJ and a stop XC on a 70cm course!!! Little horror.....we would have been 3rd without the stop

I think the photo is giving a slightly false perspective to his front end, it looks as if he has very little muscle from just behind the wither forward over his shoulders but he does appear to be a bit twisted away so it is probably not as it looks, good over his loins, bum, but lacking second thigh although again it can be hard to judge from one photo side on.

He looks extremely interested in something, I love his huge ears!!

As for the event, it is so hard to get all 3 phases right on the same day, as one bit gets better the rest fall apart until eventually it is your day to shine, or you give up and do an easier sport!!

Thank you be positive that is very useful and interesting - he was watching the XC warm up He is still incredibly green and to be fair to him he hasn't seen enough and done enough yet, we will persevere

Possibly could do with some more muscle behind the withers?Might be an idea to stand on a stool behind him and check for asymmetry. It may just be the picture and the fact his coat is faded there.

Now I've looked properly I can see just what you mean - it is just the photo, honestly I will check him anyway because I am paranoid.....
