So sister has brought brother his new horse and dad decided to by his brother for himself we now have two new neediest to play with:D

Now we need to get bridles for them, I like the padded ones one in black and one in brown so my question is this......what do you think of these?

Just got to find them in full.

Really don't want to spend stid money but at the same time do not want cheap crap:rolleyes::cool:

What colours are the horses? And what do you plan on doing? Personally I prefer the brown but not sure about the white padding with it. Think the white looks better with the black (hope that makes sense?)

I bought my youngster something similar from Robinsons....with the intention "it would do for now"
That bridle has outlasted every other blooming bridle we have bought to date!
And £28....bargain!

Both are appys.

One is brown spotted which is why we want him in brown, his brother is mainly white with a few black spots so the black would look better on him.

We are going to be hacking, schooling, teaching to jump and eventually do distance rides and a bit of rc stuff with them.

If it were me personally I would buy good quality 2nd hand if you want it to last. That imported leather usually has a weird shiny film on it that wears off really quickly and it never seems to go supple! The padded parts on headstall on those pics doesn't look great quality although the design is quite nice.

I put together a Sabre bridle from 2nd hand parts on eBay including a padded noseband, beautifully soft plain reins (didn't actually need those as was only replacing bridle due to snapped headstall but a nice bonus as smart/spares) and I bought a new brass chain detail browband from Sabre in their sale to match it all and the whole lot cost me just over £55 including postage costs for the various parts from eBay. Similar Sabre bridles are over £140 new without reins and this is all in good condition and ready oiled/buttery soft to touch! Am sure you could find 2nd hand English tack if you search around on facebook groups etc for similar money to those Amazon ones. I also got a lovely English leather bridle in Havanna with plaited detail browband for polo for £35 on eBay so they are out there!
