Thoughts on thie video

Did a better job without the stirrups lol!!!! Very well sat!!!

Been in that position a few times haven't we all, and that's when you thank your instructor for all the tortuous lessons without stirrups! :D

I don't normally comment on these threads but that is a lovely looking horse, and what a fantastic leg position from the rider!

The horse certainly didn't look happy in the mouth, was trying to open his mouth most of the time (had a cheltenham gag in I think) but had it strapped shut with a flash.

Well ridden, only one criticism - I wouldn't canter out at the end, would make it stop at all cost, gather my irons and walk out as it's very easy and very unpleasant to get ditched exactly where she was ditched, no doubt she'll know next time;)

Full credit to the rider IMO.

That is exactly what my 17.2 TB does :( He does it through pure excitement every time we go anywhere, and for the first time in my life I'm starting to lose confidence. My last fall a couple of weeks ago, was similar to hers, backwards, straight onto my head and I was concussed for 3 days.

Normally I would agree with you - but I think if I had been jumping *that* round on *that horse, I would be tempted just to try and get the hell out of the arena as soon as possible too!! :)

Don't think she had much choice, it napped its way out and then she fell off!!

I think she did a very neat job, I would have been happy to be able to complete the round as nicely sat!

OMG! She must have a super glue butt! I would of been off with the first buck! Naughty horsey. She did exceptionally well to sit that, then carry on without stirrups. Very brave lady.

I'm not impressed by her riding, or the horse.
She seems incapable of putting him in a decent spot to jump- hence the poles and the horse does not try when he's in close.
She sits on ok but why she didnt try to get her stirrups back I have no idea- she had many opportunities

I thought she did incredible! That looked like a very difficult bouncy horse and if i were her i probably would have pulled up to get my pedals back! :D

And i'm very jealous of her lower leg position! ;)

Although, was that the end of her round or did the horse just nap out of the ring?

I've seen far worse, from much more talented horses. Yes she did well to stay on, but that was it. Watch Ellen Whittaker on that crazy mare of hers, and despite the lunatic behaviour, she still places it right to the jumps and does well.
