we sold him in jan to these ppl iv posted about it b4 they wanted to send him how much do u think he was sold to them for? we miss him so much

does seem quite alot when he has not done that much...although looks a nice sort and has protential...I cant talk really, we spent a fortune buying my lad cause we just had to have him and he hadnt done much...!

I wouldn't have said the last picture was a consistent outline you'd want, looks tight through the back, but that can be improved with schooling.

Nice markings, shame the pics are at a distance

ahh, kirst thats horrid for you! Its never nice when you've made the difficult decision to part with one only to see it up for sale shortly after

2500 when they asked us if we wanted him bk they had only had him a very short time and we just couldnt at that time

Why are they selling him so soon?

Think it's fair that they've offered him to you for £2500 when they've now advertised him for £5500 - or am I misunderstanding your reply?

Do you want him back and can you afford £2500? If you do then maybe offer them that and see what they say?

im sure they would say no because when they asked after theyd had him a few weeks we said we couldnt due to fincial reasons and we couldnt. hes so lovely

Maybe they will say no but theres no harm in asking is there? If you really want him back that is.

I would pay 2.5k for him. Think you undersold him actually but not worth what they are asking at the moment. Maybe 3.5 to 4K but i would have to see him first!

Is it a crime to produce a young horse and sell it on?

This is the point of 'projects'- you improve them and sell for more money, preferably much more money!! FWIW I dont think he's expensive

I don't think they will struggle to sell him at that price, considering a lot of people try and get about 10% off the price. Doubt they would sell for £2500 particulary if the ad has had interest

I think he's a nice horse and I wouldn't be put off by that price, you see a lot of horses for sale that haven't done much for more money. Thats the name of the game isn't it, you buy a horse, produce it and sell it on for a profit , if someone is happy to pay what you ask fair play to them, if not they can walk away. At the end of the day maybe you sold too cheaply because of your financial circumstances.

God I am such a cheapskate I think!! - horse prices are soo silly these days I wish people would wake up! I would pay max of £3k for him, he may have potential and yes he is yummy, but he is unproven, what results does he have, I get sick of "potential" being sold!!!

offer them some money, they can only say no.

I have to say, I agree with Bossanova, he looks a very nice little chap and seeing as some buyers offer you a ridiculous amount of money under the asking price (we had a woman fall in love with my horse only to offer us nearly 2k less than we were asking... after two viewings, bringing the instructor... grr!) I think he's probably worth that. Especially in the current market - with a young horse a lot can improve schooling wise in 6 days never mind six months.

I think its a bit steep. but he's worth it - if that makes sense.

Wether or not he'll sell for that I dont know, but in the current economic climate I can't see it, people need to rein themselves in if they expect their animals to sell.
