Hi there, I'm new to the forum and I just had a question about my friend. She recently bought a young horse and I guess you could say she's an intermediate rider. Maybe more advanced beginner?? So this horse (connemara x welsh) she bought is 5yo and has been broken in for about 8 months by a professional trainer. I wouldn't class him as green as he is quiet and educated but far from finished. My friend is not a bad rider however she can sometimes get a bit nervous. She has ridden more full on horses that buck and pig root and has been fine but she knows not much about leads diagonals etc she would have regular lesson with the horse and will always have support. Do you think it could work?? She's had a horse before but he was an absolute angel and only in light work due to arthritis. This horse she bought seems to be a really sweet and honest however I've heard some real horror stories about novices and greenies even though he's not really "green" . Look forward to everyone's opinion :)

The horse is already bought, it will work out or it won't work out. Does your friend know you are posting on here asking about her and her new horse? It wouldn't be difficult to identify her if someone knows her from the description you've given. I hope you've asked her first?
