Thoughts on this lorry please - in CR also.

Looks like a nice well-made lorry. I assume you have someone knowledgeable going with you? Really have a good look underneath and inside the horse area to check the floor.

It doesn't say what reg it is but seems reasonably priced for type and style (unless it's very very old!!!). Is it a 3.5T or 5T?

Thanks, it is quite old an E reg, and its a 5T.

Yes I'm paying someone who services horseboxes to come out and have a look over it inside and out.

It did have some nice features and was well converted, but again don't want to pay over the odds for it especially when money is tight.

Hmm, if it'd had a been a 3.5T I would have said now that it is overpriced! Was expecting it to be say a 'M' or 'K' reg somewhere along those lines. Not sure what the market is for 5Ts. You can pick up a 7.5T of that reg ('K'/'M') for not much more than that that's all!

Is there a particular reason you are not looking at 7.5T?

I'm only travelling in the main 1 horse, and don't feel that I need a 7.5t.
Ideally I think I could get away with a 3.5T but in my price range they are not very nice.

The other option was a 4*4 and trailer but I'm swaying in the direction of a box purely for ease of use and safety .

I would ask to look at the MOT because it has only just been through one and therefore if there are any advisories on it you should be able to see what might need doing before its next test.

Thanks BFG, didn't think about that, the vendor has shown me all the service invoices and the previous mot she had to have new brakes, so at least that's been done and the box hasn't done a great deal in between, bar the journey once a week.
