Hello, just wondering what experiences or opinions people have with feeds/supplements by Trinity Consultants?

I bought a mixture called P45 from them a while ago, with a view of using it to improve the feet of my Thoroughbred that’s out 24/7 on good grazing. It is essentially a liquid mixture of herbs + Magnesium designed for horses recovering from Laminitis to speed up their metabolism. I got it for him to counteract the grass quality, with a view of preventing laminitis and improving hoof quality. I feel that it has helped, but of course hoof quality depends on many factors and takes a while to show any change so it is difficult to tell, especially with how much the weather has fluctuated and having only had him a few months.

I’m probably asking two questions here, but am just looking for thoughts on the company/products (ideally on P45), and experiences using them?

Thanks :)

I've used them and recommend them to clients all the time. Of course it's the case that unless you have 2 parallel universes to make the comparison you can never be sure whether it's working, but in my opinion L94 definitely helps to halt laminitis in most cases (but obviously can't undo the damage) and P45 seems to help prevent it. Certainly horses that have been presenting with low grade symptoms improve after feeding those 2 things.

I was once recommended to use a couple of their supplements (L94 and equinourish ) by a trimmer. The supplements didn't list a vitamin/ mineral breakdown - I rung helpline to ask and was told that as it was a mixture of herbs etc it was not possible to give a vit/min breakdown. (Why can they not do a forage analysis ?) I knew supplement had a lot of seaweed which is high in iodine and as my own grass is high in iodine (I had done forage analysis) I decided not to use their products.
