I'm seriously considering purchasing a new Black Country saddle but before I take the plunge and arrange to try one, can you guys give me your thoughts or experience of them.

Thank you! :)

(Also in competition riders)

If you do a search on hereor even on google you should come up with some old (ish) posts about them - mainly good. I only know because I was searching last night. Might be getting one for my boy :)

Just ridden my saddlers horse in one - think I'll be putting the order in for one to fit mine as soon as I've saved the pennies  - Only ever had 2nd hand saddles before so the cost is a bit scary (she says about £1k)

I've got the Black Country Eloquence dressage saddle, had it coming up a year now and i ADORE it comfiest thing going, like a bucket for my bum lol just love it! :D

I have two - a GPD which is my everyday saddle and a Show Hunter / Grafter in doeskin for showing.
LOVE them both, I've had the GPD since 2004, I have nothing but praise for them and MTM is included in the price for all of their saddles plus you can choose which leather/combination of leather/suede/doeskin whatever you want.
I customised my show saddle with thigh pads and a slightly deeper seat for more security.

Thank you very much for all of your feedback! All positive I'm glad to say!!

Just need to check out the price now, but if they're around the 1k mark w1bbler I think that's an affordable saveable price to pay for a good quality well made saddle?!

Also, Do any of you know how to go about arranging a fitting? Would I contact BC Saddles direct or a tack shop that supplies their saddles?
