My friend and I have been given the opportunity to buy a small horse.

She is 14hh ish and was 5 in March.

She is unhandled and would be fresh from the field. In the field she seems very gentle and willing to come over and be caught and led around even though she has not been handled before.

She is arab x welsh very well put together and I think would make a nice show pony type.

The plan would be to buy her now work on her over the winter and sell her on in the Spring.

Is there a call for this type of horse and if so how much would she be worth now and how much once backed with a few unaff shows under her belt?

There is a market for ponies of this type. If I were you I would look at the ads for showing ponies of this size on Horse and Hound and also Horsequest to get an idea of price. A few Partbred arab (affiliated) classes would also be a good idea (inhand and ridden).

Definitely a market for that size of pony - particularly if you can produce it properly.
