My yard has just bought 4 big bales of the stuff as it's alot cheaper than the meadow hay we have been getting. It's quite course, and has no smell, so needless to say, my horse has turned his nose up at it and was tucking into his bedding when i left tonight :( have any of you ever used this stuff and did you have the same problem, or did your horses eat it in the end?!!

I feed mine first lay Italian Ryegrass hay mixed half and half with old meadow hay, they absolutely love the Ryegrass. It is fairly coarse, but it also is quite sweet and rich.
I have no idea what Thrashed Ryegrass is, though..

ETS - been a Googled :D I should imagine they will eat it OK, it will be less rich in nutrients, but quite fibreous, so good for horses.
