inspired by the hoof-shaped bruise on my right foot!!

dislikes
1. stomping on feet in desperation to get to greenest grass
2. knees bashed on trees at high speed on winding forest paths
3. my inability to come home from the yard NOT covered in alphabeet/hay/mud and smelling like a ned

likes
1. relaxed summer hacks
2. uphill canters
3. hho + lunch revision breaks!

1. Smelling like a barn
2. Cost
3. They pick the worst time to not be caught

Likes:
1. I can be in the worst mood ever but the moment I see my boy I'm instantly happy
2. The feeling when you're flying over a big jump
3. Summer hacking
 
1. being wet
2. aching
3. my nails!!

1. tears being whipped from your eyes on a good gallop
2. that smell, the comforting warmness of it
3. turning round to bid ur nag goodnight on a winters night, to see them tucked up in a rug, hearing the happy munch of hay...
 
Dislike

1. When the neddies are unwell, lame or injured.
2. Searching the field for lost horse shoes.
3. Poulticing.

Like.

1. Having happy, healthy and sound ponios.
2. Making progress with their/my training.
3. Enjoying a long event-free hack.

* stuborn ponies that refuse to load!!!!!!

* summer with the horses
* watching the horses play in the field
 
Dislikes
* the amount of water you have to shift in cold conditions
* competitive fellow liverys (thiers is always better, faster, etc)
* people who big up their riding by making their horse sound like the devil incarnate!

* the gentle nicker when they see you
* a canter along the beach
* hacking for miles off the beaten track
 
Dislike
*People whothink you are inferior simply because they have a taller/more expensive horse
*Deep, welly sucking mud
*Schooling and not feeling like I'm getting anywhere!

Like
*Hacking in the sunshine
*Seeing them all happy and healthy grazing together in the field
*Schooling and feeling like I'm getting somewhere!!
 
Dislikes: my cripple leg being even more crippled due to its crippleness ;) I have issues with my right knee and my muscles are a lot weaker/wasted on that side. Nearly every sodding time I'm trying to go through a gateway or past an obstacle I can't move the horse over with my leg so it ends up getting bashed! Grr!
When the weather is roasting and you just want to hack out in a vest top but need to layer on the hi viz and a waistcoat to fit phone etc in!
Slopping water down your leg when carrying water buckets to the stable, that REALLY annoys me :)
Likes: looking at the view through a pair of pricked ears
Stroking that really soft bit on their muzzle!
Eventing!

I miss this! Been wayy too long, almost a year since I did any really proper jumping :(

Kitsune - I actually love the achy feeling, sad I know but I find it really satisfying!

Can I add to my likes list: Being more toned than most of the "lads' lads" I know =D
 
Dislikes:
1) Cold, wet and mud.
2) Horses being a mirror, so when you're in a mood they know it and nothing goes right.
3) Other people not liking the smell. I've no problem with it personally!

Loves:
1) The sun on my face and wind in my hair riding outdoors.
2) The unconditional acceptance of me as who I am by some of the most huggable, noble, fun creatures on earth.
3) The benefits of grooming both as self-therapy, horse massage and a rewarding, visible outcome.

KittyJay I also love the aches - they're known as the DOMS officially (delayed onset muscular soreness). There's a satisfaction to knowing you've worked hard enough to get them!
 
Dislikes - People who think they know everything but really know nothing and won't take no for an answer.
The fact that it takes you 5x as long to roll up bandages than it does to put them on.
Cleaning tack

Like - Having glossy, gleaming ponies contentedly munching grass.
When everything goes right in a day.
The neigh that I get off of every single one of my lot - I like to think it's because they are glad to see me but I suspect that it is more to do with the food I carry!
 
dislikes

Being so hot that when you groom the hair and dust sticks everywhere, even on lips
my own lack of confidence/ability
frozen pipes, sugarbeet, ground

likes

when I cry, Teddy puts his head on my shoulder
the smell, nothing smells like a horse
the whicker when they see you at the gate

1. Riding bareback with the wind blowing in my face
2. Seeing my horses cantering around and enjoying themselves
3. Just spending time with my oldies

Dislikes...

1. Parelli and everybody/everything relating to it
2. Horseflies, midges and sweet-itch
3. Studs who breed regardless of temperament
